Kickoff to my Project 52: January's Images | Andover Photographer

February 09, 2016  •  2 Comments

For those who followed along last year, you know that I LOVE photography projects!  Last year I completed my "project 365" - a photo a day, every day.  This year, I'm doing 2 projects... a "project 52" - a photo a week using a prompt (I plan to blog those images) and a "project 366" - it's leap year!  this project will be 99% phone photography based and shared only on my personal instagram page.

I'm excited to do the Project 52 with fellow photography friends this year not only for the continued comradery but I'm going to try my best to use the weekly prompt.  I find it so much easier to "shoot what you feel" rather than being limited to a single prompt.  It forces creativity.  Photographers will sometimes do similar by setting other limits - only a single lens, a single subject, etc.

The first 4 weeks' themes were:

  • Week 1 - New Beginnings - A best friend's newborn twins.
  • Week 2 - Outside - Tree at sunset.
  • Week 3 - Up Close - My pup's smile.
  • Week 4 - Light - Frozen bubble.  (not quite cold enough, will hopefully be trying this again soon!)
