This week I tried to look at ordinary moments in different ways.
We've been trying to do a light hike at least once a weekend, I was able to capture the kids having a moment through the trees and the "baby" and I also hiked up a small hill where the sunrise was still gorgeous.
I am so thrilled I noticed our reflections in the exterior wall of the Institute of Contemporary Art. I've ordered this family "portrait" in metal and cannot wait to see how it turns out!
I work for Putnam Investments and driving into the parking lot Wednesday I couldn't help but notice the gorgeous morning sky. Putnam sponsors the Patriots so these banners are everywhere. I think it turned out gorgeous and just about a week before the Super Bowl!
I had my first attempt at long exposure photography with a gorgeous old mill building near the kids' music facility. We showed up early, I have always loved this spot so set my camera to 30 second exposure to see what happened (while also laying on my belly and using a curb as a tripod - mental note that I really need a tripod!). So happy with the results!
My baby girl got spayed so the still life is in her honor on Friday. And finally lastly I took the little guy out for some energy release and he was soaring, ears were flying, through the snow at our local park. Didn't make much of a difference though, he was rearing to go all day! The contrast of him running down the hill with the freshly falling snow still clinging to the trees created a perfect picture.
Have a great week!
